You need to get tested. STD tests are no big deal, none of the other patients will even know why you are there. Call your doctor and let them know that you would like to be screened for STD's. You will walk in, urinate in a cup, discuss preventative methods with your doctor for a couple of minutes, and then walk right back out. The nurse will give you a call a couple of days after the fact if your test came back positive, and if it was negative, you won't hear anything at all. As for the sleeping buddy, I'd suggest you cut ties. At least the sexual ones. I don't believe this guy is a bad person, or even intentionally hurt you. Some time has passed since your arrangement was made, and he has obviously been put in a few (or several) situations where he was unable to control himself. However, though probably not done intentionally, you need to be able to trust your partners. Not to say that they shouldn't be with other people if this is your agreed upon relationship, but he definately needs to be responsible enough to let you know it ahead of time for your own safety.
