He's Turning Me into His Ex!

My fiance wants me to lighten the color of my hair before our wedding. I'm happy with the color the way it is. He is pushing the issue because he says it works better for my skin tone, but I know his ex-girlfriend had that kind of color. I don't know what to do.

There is an old adage that says something to the effect of, if he truly loves you, then he should love you the way you are. If you are uncomfortable because you feel as though he is trying to mold you into his ex-girlfriend, be open and honest with him. You may find the color is unrelated to his ex and he may genuinely think the color would look good on you. It may seem like a small issue; but if left unresolved, it could become much bigger than it should. Either way, it is your hair and your decision to make.
