Would you date someone who had previously dated one of your friends?

Yes! I'm perfectly happy to date my friend's exes. They're exes for a reason.
No! It's too incestuous. I don't feel comfortable dating a friend's ex.
Maybe Yes: I haven't had the opportunity, but I don't see a problem with it.

That's a big one! It depends on what you mean by stagnant - are you bored sexually? Emotionally? With everyday life? Whichever dimension you want to spice up, it's possible that your partner is feeling the same way. Talk about it! You can come up with solutions together. If you need a jump start, here are some ideas:
If it's sexual stagnation, I recommend a book called "101 Sexy Dares" by Laura Corn. It's designed for committed couples who need some variety in bed, and contains 101 sealed dares for both of you. They're sweet, seductive, and most of all, you two will explore areas of your relationship that you may have never touched on before.
Other areas of stagnation are more difficult to address, and I'd recommend that you talk about it with your spouse, and work it out together.
Good luck!

I personally have found that a stagnant sexual relationship can be spiced up without words. Sitting naked and discovering each other's bodies all over again can do wonders. Have a talk after, talk about what really turns each other on...without penalty. He may say something that might freak you out, like he's into whips and chains and you didn't know. Don't get freaked out, just listen and then find where you can meet in the middle, or find a shared fantasy and make it happen...nothing too elaborate. Baby steps.
