Would you date someone who had previously dated one of your friends?

Yes! I'm perfectly happy to date my friend's exes. They're exes for a reason.
No! It's too incestuous. I don't feel comfortable dating a friend's ex.
Maybe Yes: I haven't had the opportunity, but I don't see a problem with it.

How important are dates? Seriously...is remembering a dealbreaker?
Is remembering dates really important?

I am not completely sure if the problem with remembering dates is just about remembering specific dates. The idea behind remembering birthdays or anniversaries is that it makes the other person feel important. That if you remembered my birthday, I am special to you. This might seem superficial because surely it isn't the case that if a date is forgotten, you don't care about me.

I tend to let go and not making it a big issue if someone I care about forgets dates they're supposed to remember. See, how that works? I said 'supposed'. It is an impulsive expectation that people should remember dates even when you're aware that sometimes there are just too many special dates to remember.

I reason with an article I once read about how genes could explain the difference between what men and women remember. For men, it is easier to recollect factual information whereas women tend to retain more emotional information such as dates associated with special events or places.

Despite the scientific data, remembering dates is important [because inevitably, we humans are ruled by our hormones and genes] but it depends on how important you make it. Do you want to fight over forgetting and not actually celebrating or enjoying the day, once you know its special.

Then how will you remember whom to date? Seriously, it is taken for granted that you remember. So you had better!
