My friend is a lonely person. She has been for a mate for a long time. With this in mind, her affection comes off to anyone she feels close to. When she is around my boyfriend she tends to be a little flirtatious with him--like a lonely flirtatious. How can I handle this situation if I do in fact desire to keep a friendship with her?

She has to understand that flirting with another person's mate, especially yours is a NO NO! You are going to have to stand up for yours. Let her know how you view her actions towards your boyfriend in a firm, but not rude way. If she values your friendship, then she will understand.
